Who We Are

MAGIC Side Quest is operated by AGamers ("we", "us", "our"). Our website is magicsidequest.com.

What Data We Collect

Data you provide directly

  • Account information: email address, display name, and password (stored securely by Supabase Auth).
  • Onboarding quiz answers: used to assign your MAGIC persona. We store your persona result, not individual answers.
  • Quest notes and feedback: optional text you add when completing quests or rating difficulty.
  • Profile information: display name and avatar you choose to upload.

Data we collect automatically

  • Usage data: quests completed, XP earned, streak data, and zone activity — this is core to the app's functionality.
  • Login activity: date of last login for login streak tracking.
  • Payment data: if you subscribe, payment is handled by Stripe. We store only a Stripe customer ID and subscription status — no card details.
  • Analytics: We use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymized usage data (page views, browser type, approximate location) to improve the service. This tool does not use cookies.

How We Use Your Data

  • To provide the app's core functionality (quest generation, XP, streaks, leaderboards).
  • To personalise your quest selection based on your MAGIC persona.
  • To process and manage your subscription via Stripe.
  • To send transactional emails (password reset, subscription confirmation) — no marketing emails without consent.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the app:

  • Supabase — database and authentication provider.
  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Vercel — hosting, edge infrastructure, and anonymized analytics.

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time (see Your Rights below).

Your Rights

Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data.
  • Object to or restrict processing.
  • Data portability.
